Amazing, amazing book. This slice of the Civil Rights Movement gives a glimpse of Martin Luther King, Jr. at the beginning of his career but also emphasizes the way in which the boycott was a community effort. This book gives equal attention to the other leaders of the bus boycott who don't make it into standard history books. And it shows the tremendous amount of planning and organization that went into the effort. An inspiration.
